Nora,I am not trying to be mean,But you really need to work on your weight..I am sure others that have read this also are thinking the same, but afraid to tell you…
I am not just picking on you,but I think because of the internet, many people expectantly the disabled don’t get much exercise…This is way I would only use a manual chair…I don’t know your circumstance and maybe there nothing you can do about your weight problem,,if so I am sorry…
The Wheelchair place, Owens Medical Equiptment, and Northern Rehab and Respiratory are just a few places that will come to your home and measure you for the proper size wheelchair. Just call around where ever it is that you live and medical supply or equipment places and ask for a home evaluation. Also if you have medical or medicare and a real disabilitie they will bill them for the service and at the same time they will check your home for any other medical equiptment you may need such as grab bars, eating equiptment, shower chairs, etc. druski0918
Ask a scooter store. They have trained specialists to help you with your scooter needs.

I have one of these. The overall length is 59 inches, but the wheelbase is 38 inches which might work for your bus lifts, http://www.easymobilityco.com/titan_mobility_scooter.htm
